Challenge Entry: Mother's Day Postcards

Don't we all love our mothers? Whatever you call them, be it Mama (as I do), or Mum, or Mother, it just always make things better when you say it.  Okay, now I miss my Mama... :(  It's still a few months before I see her next, and I am so excited to spend time with her and my family.  Mickey we're coming! LOL!

OK, enough day dreaming, let's get down to business...

I've been busy making these Mother's Day postcards using Kenny K's Super Mom digital image.  I have to get them all done and post them soon in time for the upcoming special occasion.

365 Cards: Day 53 - Super Sketchy Sunday (Sketch by Pam Maas)

It's Sunday! Not just any Sunday, but a Super Sketchy Sunday brought to you by the 365 Cards girls! :)

Are you ready to play along and create with another of Pam's wonderful handmade sketches? Okay, enough talk, here's the sketch.

And of course, my personal take on the sketch is again a bit "out of the box".  I hope you get some inspiration out of it though.

I went CAS this time, with some distressing.  The ribbon and the sweet spot with the butterfly are some pretty stuff from Precocious Paper.  The sentiment is a Hero Arts clear stamp stamped in with Ranger Sepia ink.

Pop over the other Sunday girls' posts for a little more inspiration.  And then it's your turn to play!

It's me,

Challenge Entry: Amelia Gift Tag

Here's another one for Top Tip Tuesday's Spotty, Dotty challenge.

It is a gift tag featuring Amelia from The Greeting Farm OA-Surprise set.  Isn't she just adorable.
Everything else on the card are bits of scrap I had lying around.  The gift tag only measures 3" by 4 1/2" so those tiny bits just fit perfectly.

I coloured Amelia with my copics and fussy cut her.  I adhered her on the card with some foam dots for that extra pop.  The sentiment is also from the same OA-Surprise set.

Have a great week ahead everybody! :)

I had a really long week at work, and I am just so looking forward to hitting my craft table for some creative release, a less stressful one at least. :)

And so, here's my take to Erin's handmade sketch this time at 365 Cards Challenges Day 46.

Here's the sketch.

Challenge Entry: FFF Challenge - Classic Patterns

I was chosen winner of the last FFF Challenge: Good Things Come in Small Packages over at The Greeting Farms blog. Woohoo!!!

And this week, I am back with a new card this time for their FFF Challenge: Classic Patterns.

This week, we'd like to see you use a classic pattern on your project!  Any classic pattern will do: houndstooth, stripes, polka-dots, herringbone, chevrons, etc.

I used Amelia from the OA - Surprise rubber stamp set.  And I went for spots and stripes! :)

My project is a gift card holder for my friend's little girl who turned 2 years old a few days ago.  Yeah, I am sending it as a belated present.  I personalised it by using glitter foam letters fro American Crafts Thickets and mini alpha stickers from KaiserCraft.  The pink paper and ribbon are scraps.

Here's another angle to show off the pretty image of Amelia.

I hope you like what I showed you today.

Here are some more challenges for my little project -
1. Top Tip Tuesday - Spotty Dotty
2. Anything Goes @ Anything Goes
3. Penny Black and More - April Challenge - Oh so Cute
4. Make It Monday #85

Challenge Entry: Mojo Monday 235

It's been a while since I last played along with a Mojo Monday Challenge.  And so, this is me joining in on the fun! :)

Here is my card.

And here is the sketch.

I used DP from a Heidi Grace Designs paper pack. The blue cardstock matting, I ran through my Cuttlebug with a swiss dot embossing folder. The butterfly is punched out of a Martha Stewart puncher.  The pearls on the butterfly is by KaiserCraft. The focal point is an MFT Die-namincs die cut.  And I used the negative, too! :)  The ribbon is American Crafts.  The sentiment is from a Hero Arts clear stamp.

I am also submitting my card project to these challenges -
2 - Totally Paper Crafts Challenge #111 - Bingo - I went with the bottom horizontal - Blue, Ribbon, Pearls.

It's me,

365 Cards: Day 39 - Super Sketchy Sunday (Sketch by Pam Maas)

Welcome to another great week for card making at the 365 Cards Challenge!  This week, we will be playing with cute digis from Robyn's Fetish.

And of course, we have Pam's great sketch to challenge us with.  Here it is.

I made a very simple card with an Easter theme.  It is Easter after all, and so this is my way of greeting you all a Happy Easter! :)

Okay, now "hop" on over to the other Sunday girls' cards for more inspiration.

After that, it's your turn to link up your cards to the challenge blog! We look forward to seeing your wonderful card creations!

Other challenges for my card.

It's me,

Challenge Entry: Simply Anya - I Miss You Dearly

I am joining in on the fun over at The Greeting Farm Blog for their FFF Challenge.  It's a "Good things come in small packages" challenges where we must create a 4x4 card.

Here is my card using Simply Anya.  It's another of my monochromatic CAS cards.

The paper is a shiny one from Sei (too bad it does not look as pretty as in actual).  The die cut is MFT.  I used both the positive and negative of the cut. The sentiment is from American Crafts stamped in with a Memento Brilliance ink.  Some pink rhinestones for accent.  And a pop of pink on Anya's cheeks with my Copics.

I hope you like what you saw here today. Leave me some love.

And some more challenges for my card includes -
1 - Crafty Catz Weekly Challenge - Challenge #127 - CAS
2 - Penny Black and More Challenges - April Challenge - Oh So Cute

Happy Easter to all! While there are Easter and Spring challenges left and right, we at CCCC decided to do something else this fortnight.

CHALLENGE #10 - PEARLS & LACE

We are kindly sponsored by Sassy Studios and they sent us pretty digis to play with.
My card for you this time showcases the Victorian Beauty digi.  Isn't she pretty? :)

And here is my card.

Pop over to the blog to see what the DT has in store for you, and then it's your turn to link up your cards! Do remember to stick to the theme! Digi Stamp Prizers are up for grabs. :)

Other challenges for my card.
1 - PaperPlay Challenge - Shaped Card
2 - Kaboodle Doodles - Anything but a Rectangle
3 - Truly Scrumptious - Use Lace on Your Creation

It's me,

Challenge Entry: Priceless Card

I've been in some sort of hiatus for a while. And it's a bit difficult to get the mojo flowing back.  So here's a warm up card.  It's a CAS card and I made it under 30 minutes.

I used a (modified) sketch from Card Patterns.

And I was inspired by these suggested techniques from -

1 - Paper Play Challenges - Shaped Card
2 - Kaboodle Doodles - Anything But a Rectangle
3 - Truly Scrumptious - Use Lace on Your Card
4 - Moxie Fab World - Practical Solutions: The DIY Embellies Challenge
The focal point of my card is the "tag" on the centre.  The oval doily is a die cut I cut out of my Cuttlebug with a MFT Die-namics die.  I punched vertical slots on the short sides of it with my EK Success puncher.  I stamped an image from an Inkadinkado clear stamp set.  Then a slipped a Really Reasonable Ribbon lace through the vertical slots.  I liked how it turned out. :)

Thanks for dropping by today.
