Challenge Entry: Not a Halloween Card

I have never made any halloween cards probably because I am not a big fan of the holiday.  But at least I want to give the Halloween Colour challenges a shot before the holiday ends, just so I can see if I could make it work.  I think I have achieved some success on this CAS card. :)

I got the sketch off the Clean & Simple Stamping challenge blog (163!)

And the colour scheme challenge from Flutter by Wedensdays (FBW#177).

A color challenge~ use Halloween colors: black, purple, orange and green along with your butterfly, fairy or angel

And a second entry to 365 Cards Day 239 - Celebrating Everyday.

So today's challenge is all about celebrating cards with everyday sorts of sentiments and themes.  It sounds easy at first, but you need to avoid specific occasions, including a Thank You, Missing You, Get Well, Birthdays, Holidays, etc.

So... What do you think? :)

Greetings: Featured Flutterings @ FBW #175

I am having a really good Monday today.  I found out that my Scrappy Butterfly card was again a Featured Fluttering on the Flutterby Wednesday challenge blog! :)

That's two weeks in a row for me.  Last week, my Pink and Bling card made it to the list, and now this card.

Here is my Scrappy Butterfly card. And by the way, it's the second win for my Scrappy Butterfly card.  First win was at last week's The Crazy Challenge sketch.

But what really makes my day is Danni's very inspiring comment -

Thanks, Danni! Keep the great Flutterby Wednesday challenges coming!

Challenge Entry: Take Wing

I've been practicing with colouring skin with Copics.  So far, I think I am making some improvements. :)

The image I have used on this, my Flutter By Wednesday #176 card entry for this week is the latest one I coloured.   Meet Flora from Crafty Sentiments Designs. :)

Colouring this image was a bit tedious since there are so many small details.  But I had fun colouring it and os it's time for a close up! :)  I only used the Copics on the skin and wings.  For the rest of the image, just my humble Pilot markers.  I left the eye area uncoloured as I don't know how to colour them. Hahaha... But I must say it works!

I am also entering my card to 365 Cards Day 234 - Opposite Day.  I do more of the monochromatic colour schemes when designing my cards.  Even in the way I dress, I'd usually go for just a solid coloured plain polo shirt.  So on this card, I used a "busy" background for my image, and that is Basic Grey's Hello Luscious Simply Grand.

My card also fits the criteria for this Friday's challenge at CAS-ual Fridays (use any medium to colour a stamped image).

The sentiment I used is also very appropriate for the image - "Take" WING, from Inkadinkado's Inspiration Lift clear stamps set.

Thanks for looking. ;)

Greetings: Featured Flutterings @ FBW #174

My Pink and Bling card was featured at the Flutter By Wednesday Challenge Blog! :) What a great finish to a hectic week! :)

This card is one of the first cards I made using Martha Stewart's Large Monarch Butterfly punch.  It's my favorite embellies to use at the moment.

To the ladies at Flutter By Wednesday, a big THANK YOU!  Keep the fabulous flutterings coming.

Here's my Pink and Bling card...
