LO Project: My New Hero Arts Stamps

My Hero Arts order arrived yesterday.  Well, it was at my doorstep on Monday afternoon but I was out renewing my passport and so was not home to receive the delivery.  After scheduling for a redelivery with Singapore Post, it has finally reached home! Woohoo!!!

And today, being a rainy and lazy Friday, I decided to sharpen my coloured pencils.  They have been with me since March but I just sharpen the pencils I need.  Today, I decided to do them all.  Hihi...

Here's what I came up with using my new toys, and my fresh coloured pencils. :)  It's not much, but it's a start to get me going again.  I am in a bit of a "creative juice" drought. Is there such a thing?? Hahaha..

The stamps are Hero Arts wooden blocks - 3 Girls set.

Challenge Entry: A Corner Bookmark for Di

Here's a little something I made for my online friend Di.  We've been playing Words With Friends on the iPhone for almost 2 years, and eventually became friends.  Chatting all the time while on the game and emailing each other photos every once in a while.

After being reunited with my passion for paper crafts, I started posting my projects on my Facebook page, and one of my projects caught Di's attention - the corner bookmark.

So, I thought of making for her a special one to mail to her US address.

Here's how my little present for her turned out. I put a little sentiment which is quite fitting for the kind of long distance friendship we have going on. :)

Here's the project recipe.

Cardstock and patterned paper from American Crafts.  Punchers from EK Success.  Sentiment stamp from American Crafts - Sentiments set.  The D chipboard alphabet sticker is from My Mind's Eye - Lush set.

I didn't get to snap a shot of Di's bookmark while actually being a bookmark.  So here is how it's supposed to work.

It sits at the right top corner of the page of the book.
So instead of  "dog earring" the page, you use your coner bookmark to mark the page.  So neat, right? :)

By the way, I am entering my humble project into these challenges for this week

Thanks for looking! For more of my "anything but a card" projects, see my gallery.

Challenge Entry: 365 Cards - Day 169 - Vintage Plus Black

My Vintage Plus Black card for Day 169 at 365 Days Card challenge.

The pretty vintage banner stamp is something I bought for making my wedding invitations, but I went in another direction so it is the first time I'd be using it.  It is a clear stamp from Shabby Green Door called Fancy Banner.

Sentiment from American Crafts - Sentiments set.

The patterned paper is from Martha Stewart Crafts - Neutrals paper pack.

Is it vintage enough?? I don't think I have enough "vintage" stuff in my stash.  Shall we go shopping?? :D

Challenge Entry: 365 Cards - Day 170 - Vintage Plus Blue

For 365 Days Vintage Plus Blue Challenge, here's another attempt at vintage.

Challenge Entry: 365 Cards - Day 168 - Vintage Plus Red

My attempt at doing vintage for a card.  Not really certain if this passes for vintage though. But the patterned paper I used seems to have that appeal. :))

This is for another challenge over at 365 Cards.  Here it goes...

The flourish stamp is a new one I got off of the Inkadinkado online shop. It's from their inchies series.

Challenge Entry: Wedding Greetings

Another of my wedding inspired card creations.

Cardstock and patterned paper from American Crafts and Martha Stewart Crafts
Stamp from Inkadinkado - Sending Wishes sent.
Ink from Making Memories.
Gold embellishments are just some beading stuff I had lying around. :)
