Greetings: Top 5 @ Anything Goes Challenge Blog

I made Top 5 at the Anything Goes Challenge Blog in their To The Letter challenge. :)

For this challenge, I submitted my Candy Bar Slider project featuring Amy.

What makes this project special is I gifted it to a dear friend of mine when we met for a Friday dinner out a few weeks ago. And she loved my little surprise!

Here is my Candy Bar Slider project.

Many thanks to the ladies at Anything Goes and do keep the fab challenges coming!

It's me,

A Summer Wish: Rye & Kay on a Bench

Cookie Adventures is launching a new line of digi images called A Summer Wish.
Last week, we featured sweet Julianne the Flower Girl on a card.
Now on this card, we are showcasing the Rye & Kay on a Bench digi.  On this digi, they are sitting on a bench with Kay leaning her head on Rye while Rye puts her arms over her shoulders.  An expression of young sweet love.

A quick card for 365 Cards - Day 240 - White Space challenge.

Cardstock: American Crafts
DP: Sei - Happy Day
Stamps: Hero Arts (sentiment), Stampendous (image)
Rhinestone: Zva Creative
Punches: EK Success

Here's the sketch.

Challenge Entry: Not a Halloween Card

I have never made any halloween cards probably because I am not a big fan of the holiday.  But at least I want to give the Halloween Colour challenges a shot before the holiday ends, just so I can see if I could make it work.  I think I have achieved some success on this CAS card. :)

I got the sketch off the Clean & Simple Stamping challenge blog (163!)

And the colour scheme challenge from Flutter by Wedensdays (FBW#177).

A color challenge~ use Halloween colors: black, purple, orange and green along with your butterfly, fairy or angel

And a second entry to 365 Cards Day 239 - Celebrating Everyday.

So today's challenge is all about celebrating cards with everyday sorts of sentiments and themes.  It sounds easy at first, but you need to avoid specific occasions, including a Thank You, Missing You, Get Well, Birthdays, Holidays, etc.

So... What do you think? :)

Greetings: I'm a cookie in LiaStampz Stamp Jar

I won the Guest Designer slot at the Lia Stampz Challenge blog for Challenge #4 - Sketch.

I am so psyched! This is a first for me and I am so excited and nervous at the same time.

I hope I don't let the people at Lia Stampz down for picking to give me this opportunity! :)

This is the card that won me the GD slot! :)

Challenge Entry: Flower-y Birthday (Plus a How-To)

A new birthday card from me using a new technique I (accidentally) discovered! :)

Close up on the details.

Pretty flower, right? Here's how I did it...

1. Cut a 1" strip of DP.
2. With your edger punch, and punch on one side of your DP strip.  Here I used EK Success' Abstract Flower edge punch.

3.  Do the same on the other side, but make sure you try your best to align the puncher to the pattern on the already punched out side.

4. Cut up the individual flowers or use them as a strip to embellish your project.

Easy peasy, instant embellie! :)

I am submitting this card to the following challenges for this week.
1. Lollipop Crafts - Challenge #54 Embellish It!

It's all about the embellishments and we would like to see AT LEAST 3 EMBELLISHMENTS on your projects this week.

My embellishment selections for this card include - Ribbon, Rhinestone, Punches (butterfly, flowers), Stamp (sentiment)

2. Paper Sundaes - Challenge #92 Sundae Bar

This week we've opened the Sundae Bar!  Our toppings include 'Black, Sparkle, Flowers, and Distressing'.  Remember to play along you only have to use two of the toppings!

I picked Sparkle and Flowers this time.

3. The Sweetest Thing - Sketch Challenge 140

Challenge Entry: Once Upon a Sketch - October 15 2011

This is my interpretation of the sketch challenge over at Once Upon a Sketch this fortnight (15 October 2011).

The challenge was to use the recommended sketch and include a journalling with the given challenge criteria.

Sketch:

Journalling criteria: A most embarrassing/awkward/uncomfortable moment or characteristic/feature/habit/mannerism/quality or quirk you or someone around you possessesJournal at least 2 SENTENCES on a moment that you will remember for all the wrong reasons.

Here is my layout I entitled LOST.  Read on to learn more. :)

Close up on the journalling, and other details.

I toned down  the colour scheme to match my photos.  It's a simple layout, but I think it looks quite elegant in it's simplicity.

Layout Recipe:

Cardstock: American Crafts
DP: Creative Imaginations
Rhinestone: Zva Creative
Brad: Sei
Chipboard Letters: My Mind's Eye - Lush
Punches: EK Success

Challenge Entry: 365 Cards - Day 237 - Super Sketchy Sunday

This is my interpretation of the latest sketch over at the 365 Cards Challenge.  I kept it CAS, and it looks so elegant! :)

Close up on the DP and details.

The DP I used is already so pretty all by itself so I did not have to add much elements.  Apart from the coordinating rhinestones to give it some bling and added interest! :)

Card Recipe:

Cardstock - American Crafts
DP - Sei
Stamp - Hero Arts
Punches - EK Success Abstract Flower Edger Punch
Rhinestone - KaiserCraft Jewels

Here's the sketch.

Thanks for looking! :)
