Challenge Entry: Thank You Butterflies

One can never have too many thank you cards in your desk drawer. :) Here's one from me.

Zoom in to the details.

So here's my ** TOP TIP ** - Use foam tape to adhere elements to card layouts to give it that extra pop and dimension.  I did it for the butterfly dies on this layout and to make it more interesting I also adhered a rhinestone on the butterfly's body and folded the wings. Now it looks like it's about to take flight. :)

Cardstock: American Crafts
Patterned Paper: Sei, Grant Archival
Ribbon: American Crafts
Rhinestone Embellies: Zva Creative

My card also fits the latest challenge at Crazy Challenge - Challenge 86 - Colour Combo.  The challenge is to have 3 colors of your choice on a card.  I chose RED, WHITE and PINK.

Thanks for looking! :)

Philippine Adventure: I hate you, Pedring!

Yesterday, Pedring the typhoon battered the Philippines with lots of wind and rain.  It was a horror to watch the news seeing families being evacuated from their homes due to heavy flooding in certain areas of the metro.

But what really broke my heart is reading from a Philippine news website about the sad fate that hit 5-star hotel Sofitel in Manila along the Manila Bay.

Just a year ago, my Cookie and I spent our wedding weekend here.

And yesterday, all the grandeur of this place got washed away with the flood.  :'(

It's truly heart breaking.  But hopefully, they'd be back up on their feet again and soon...

Singapore Adventure: Paper Hoarding Day

Over the weekend, I found out about the pre-renovation sale "K"rafer's Paradise was running at their City Square Mall outlet.  "K"rafer's Paradise is a local paper crafting store here in Singapore. (Here's their FB page if you want to find out more about them.)

This is the promotion they were running at the store ...

Being a self-confessed hoarded , how can I resist such a good deal. :) I went down there yesterday to have a look and came out of the store with a big grin and an injured credit card. Hahaha...

I am well aware that these papers might be going out of season soon, probably the main reason why they were putting them on sale.  But I don't mind. Haha. I am just a sucker for good bargains. :)

So, here are the new additions to my stash.

A new stamp from Basic Grey.  The first of this brand I have.

And some fabulous papers!

Now to get some crafting done... :)

Challenge Entry: 365 Cards - Day 209 - Super Sketchy Sunday

Here is my take on the latest sketch over at 365 Cards Challenge blog. :)

Zoom in to Barefoot Amy...

** TOP TIP **

Before I apply any stamped image on a layout, I would initially do a trial/test stamping on a scrap sheet of paper/cardstock.  This ensures that I am using the most appropriate shade of ink that works best with my layout.  And also this lets me practice on the correct pressure that I should apply when stamping to make sure that all the details of my stamp is transferred on to the layout.

Challenge Entry: 365 Cards - Day 208 - Funny, Masculine

Doing a funny card this time still for 365 Cards Masculine Style challenge this week.

This is a Bo Bunny stamp I recently acquired. :)

I find word plays usually funny.  Or maybe I just have a weird sense of humor... Ha! :D
