Card Project: Hello Birthday Girl

I had a really hectic week! My siblings flew in from Manila to pay us a visit! We showed them around and brought them to a few of the popular dining places around Singapore.  It was a short 5-day visit, but it was time well-spent with our dearest fambam! :)

~o0o~

Okay, enough small talk... I just want to make a point... Because of the too much fun the Cookie family is having with the fambam, Wifey Cookie didn't have any crafty time, which explains why this is such a late post!  And a double-taker on 2 of my DT project assignments. (Sorry, teammates.)

And so, here is my card -

This week's Loves Rubberstamps Challenge calls for your...

Favourite Colour Combo

Loves Rubberstamps Blog Challenges

For me, it's Pink and Brown.  There is something about this colour combo that makes me smile... always.  Perhaps because it looks like sweet pastry? LOL!

For my card I used these materials, some of which are available at the Loves Rubberstamps Store for purchase.  Laura ships internationally! ;)

Penny Black's Big Wish - stamped image
Papertrey Ink's Daily Designs Sentiments - stamped sentiment
Jillibean Soup Alphabeans - stickers
Copics for colouring the image in
Memento Tuxedo Black for stamping in the image

Loves Rubberstamps Challenge: Wifey Cookie is August GDT!

I am still over the moon being August's GDT at the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge blog.  This is my second project and it sure is a challenging one.

The challenge is ...

Hair of a Different Color
Use an unusual hair color, or add fun highlights - like teal, pink, purple!

The design team is generously sponsored this week by ...

And there is a prize up for grabs for a lucky challenge player, too!

Okay, here is my project. Well, I also had a Saturated Canary image to play with but my printer is misbehaving, so instead, I just used a different make of rubber stamp which we also carry over at the Loves Rubberstamps Online Store!

It's a fun card! And I had tons of fun making it! Don't you love the bright colours on the image which matches the patterned paper? :)

Here are the materials I used on my card -

Copic Markers

Now, it's time to hop on and see what the rest of the Design Team has in store for you this week.

365 Cards: Day 223 - Super Sketchy Sunday (Sketch by Wendi Robinson)

Here's this week's sketch for 365 Cards' Super Sketchy Sunday. Are you ready to play? :)

Wondering what I came up with using this pretty sketch...?  This...

I missed playing with kraft, so I went for it this wee! :)  I used brown and yellow patterned papers for my card to incorporate on my kraft card base. And the image from The Greeting Farm, I coloured in the brown and yellow hues, too.  Some light yellow rhinestones to give it some bling.  The alpha stickers are Jillibean Soup. If you like it, leave me some love. :)

I invite you to visit the rest of the 365 Cards Sunday DT blogs to see what inspiration they have for you this week.

We'd love to see what you create, so do link up your take to the sketch over at the challenge blog -

Loves Rubberstamps Challenge: Wifey Cookie is August GDT!

Guess who made it as August GDT over at the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge Blog...? *wink wink*

Yay, ME! :) And I am so excited to play along with the talented Laura Love and her girls. :)  I will be playing along with them for the whole month of August. It will be fun I am sure of it!

So, to kickoff my month-long term with the design team, here is my card for this week's challenge.

The challenge theme is ...

ANYTHING GOES!

I went all cute-sy and pastel-y on my card this week with Tilda from Magnolia Rubber Stamps.  I coloured the image with Copics. The fishtail banners are MFT Die-namics' Fishtail Flag Stax and the sentiment is MFT as well from the Here's the Scoop clear stamp set. I adhered some silver and pink rhinestones, too, for some bling. :)

I hope you get to play along with us this week. There is a prize package up for grabs from -

We look forward to seeing what you create. :)  Do visit the rest of the talented DT's blogs to see more inspirational projects.

365 Cards: Day 216 - Super Sketchy Sunday (Sketch by Wendi Robinson)

Welcome to another Super Sketchy Sunday! Are you ready to play? Here is your sketch for this week.

I had some fun with it and did a card inspired by the mirror image of this sketch. I hope it works for you.  Here it is...

I took out my Tickled Pink Stamps' Lil Pinkette Coraline to play with. I am not sure if you'll still find Lil Pinkette collection Tickled Pink Stamps in circulation. I THINK they closed shop already.  But C.C. Designs do carry some of their items.

I coloured my image to match my Bella Blvd patterned paper.  Some twine and alpha stickers to finish it off.  The sentiment I think is from a Martha Stewart stamp set. I can't recall exactly.

I hope you like that. :)

By the way, we have a new talented gal on the 365 Cards Super Sketchy Sunday roster.  Let's welcome...

And, of course, you MUST still continue to visit the rest of the Sunday DT's blog to get more inspiration. Hop along...

After that, link up a card to the challenge blog! We'd love to see what you create!
