Wish List: Rose Time

Drooling over this. Sigh.

A Swatch watch. I've never had a Swatch watch. And it's pink. Yummy!

I DEFINITELY WANT ONE!!! ^_^

My Titus is still pretty, but this piece really caught my eye.

I just hope I can get it here in SG. Haven't really tried looking around here for it. Hehe..

Singapore Adventure: The Cookies @ The Magic Box

The Cookies went to see the matinee show of The Magic Box at the Esplanade Theater on 19 July 2008, Saturday. It was a magical experience!

The Cookies even got the chance to have a photo and autograph signing opportunity with the Father and Daughter tandem. Well technically, it was just me because my Cookie took the photo. ^_^
Our seats were at the VIP Box C and they were great seats! Comfortable away from the noisy crowd and cozy enough to enjoy the show.

It's both our first time to see a live magic show, and it is a memorable one indeed.

More photos on my Friendster account. ;)

Singapore Adventure: The Cookies @ New York New York

The Cookies have dined at New York New York at the City Link Mall twice already. Both visits proved to be pleasureable for our palates. Customer service needs some more work but still a gem nonetheless.

First Visit - 21 March 2008, Friday

The Cookies' had:
  • Seafood Platter - fish fillet, calamari rings, shrimp fritters, soft-shell crab, smoked salmon on a bed of veggie salad with vinaigrette
  • American Coleslaw

If you crave for something less sinful, the Seafood Platter is the one for you. Also, if you want to try a little of each kind, the "platters" they have on the menu should work perfectly fine for you. Their "platters" are best for sharing as well.

The salads did not quite agree with me. But they completed well with the fried foods we had at that time. At least just to clear the oil out to appreciate the taste of the food better.

It's a cozy place for hanging out. ^_^

Second Visit - 19 July 2008, Saturday

The Cookies craved for some food after seeing the Magic Box at the Esplanade Theater, which is by the way, a great great show! ^_^

The Cookies had:

  • Clam Chowder for starters
  • Big Big Breakfast - pancake, mushrooms, bacon, sausages, and scrambled eggs
  • BBQ Roasted Spare Ribs - ribs smothered with bbq sauce with sidings of fried potato wedges and veggie sald with vinaigrette.

Very sinful dishes for an early dinner. Hahaha... But it was all worth every calorie and cholesterol. The ribs are especially "finger-licking-ly" delicious. And yes, New York New York serves breakfast all day. I ended up choosing the Clam Chowder soup as it is the only one the rings a bell for me among the soups on the menu roster. :)

And to cap off this wonderful dining event, it's time for some mudpie! Yum!

Singapore Adventure: Weekend Snaps

Sharing the Cookies' weekend snaps taken at Vivo City on a Sunday afternoon. ^_^

My photo was taken at the Insight Optical while my Cookie had his spectacles fixed.

My Cookie's photo was taken at Carl's Jr. where we had an early dinner treat of charbroiled burgers, crisscut fries, and onion rings. =P~

Singapore Adventure: Siam Kitchen @ Jurong Point

It's another food adventure for the Cookies. This time we went Siamese. Hehehe...
In celebration of our 2.5 years togethers, we spent the Friday night at the Jurong Point Mall in Boon Lay. We had dinner at Siam Kitchen.
I had a plate of Phad Thai Goong. It's noodles with "phad thai" sauce, beansprouts and prawns. Yummy! My Cookie had Black Olive Fried Rice with Chicken and Cashew Nuts. No need to break down what's in my Cookie's food. Hehehe...
Aside from the "quick meals", we also tried the Grilled Boneless Chicken Leg with some "special sauce". :) It was nice, but somehow it has some coconut-y aftertaste which did not totally please my palate. I can't determine if it is the chicken or the special sauce. Hmmm.... But my Cookie loved it, since it is boneless.

A dessert of ice cream in cones at the nearby scoopery completed the meal. We had it while strolling the mall.
A quick trip to the bookstore and the grocery, and we were done for the evening. It was another great date. As always. ;)
