Challenge: Gift Packaging

I prepared a little something for my girlfriends who I will be meeting with briefly over a meal during our vacation in Manila.

They are just little trinkets so to add some value and some personal touch, I packaged them nicely like so...

I used Graphic 45 Christmas paper on this one.  The stamps are clear stamps from The Greeting Farm's Sparkling Season and Holiday Blessings sets.

For these, I used Echo Park Holly Jolly Christmas paper and some of the leftover scraps from the Graphic 45 holly patterned paper.  The dies were cut with My Favorite Things Sweet Stack Label.  The stamps are clear stamps from CAS-ual Friday Stamps Merry Kiss-mas set.

These are 3.5in x 3.5in squares. It opens like a matchbook.  Sorry, I did not take photo of it opened up.

I hope my little project inspired you today. :)

I am linking up this project to these challenges:

365 Cards: Day 298 - Super Sketchy Sunday (Sketch by Wendi Robinson)

Are we all ready for Christmas? Christmas shopping lists should be completed and all preparations must be in order by now!

Well, then it's time to play along with us in this Super Sketchy Sunday challenge at the 365 Cards Blog.

365 Cards

Here is this week's sketch from our in-house sketch designer DT Wendi Robinson.  And it's a challenging one for me! LOL!

I thought out of the box this time and rotated the sketch 90 degrees to the left, and "these" are what I came up with.

CARD No. 1 - Have a Sparkling Season

I used some Christmas papers from My Mind's Eye - The Merry Days of Christmas and TGF's Sparkling Season clear stamp. Copics to colour the snowflakes in, adding a hint of "glow" around each of them and on the text, too.

CARD No. 2 - Have a Ball this Christmas

The Christmas papers are from Echo Park's Holly Jolly Christmas and TGF's Holiday Blessings clear stamp. I coloured the baubles with my Copics and a hint of "glow" around each of them for that little extra something.

I hope you find inspiration in these projects I showcased today.  If  you think you still need more. Hope on over to the rest of the Sunday Girls' blogs for more ideas.

I will see you all back here next week. :)

Merry Christmas!

Other challenges for my card -
1. Splendid Stamping with TGF - Double Take Tuesday - Red, Green & Teal - card number 1 fits the colour combo just fine. ;)

Linky Party: Seize the Birthday

I heard there's a new card making challenge blog in town... And of course, I want to take part in the fun. :)

I am linking one of my favourite birthday cards that I made this year.  It has all the elements that I really like to add in my card creations - pink, glitter, an image to colour, and ribbon! This card has it all! LOL!

Tell me what you think of my card. :)  And I am crossing my fingers to snatch a GDT slot at the Seize the Birthday blog.

Challenge: Meet Me under the Mistletoe

I had a stressful day and I just need to unwind and make a card.  Here's what I came up with. I think it's a bit "dark", but Hubby Cookie says it's quite nice with a vintage-y feel.

What do you think?

The paper is from Cosmo Crickets Dear Mr. Claus Mini Deck.  The stamps are from CAS-ual Fridays' Merry Kiss-mas Clear stamps set.

My card is inspired by these week's challenges from -
1. CAS-ual Fridays - Even the Score

2. Incy Wincy Designs Challenge - Holly or Mistletoe
3. Kaboodle Doodles - Christmas/Anything Goes
4. Stamp Your Life - Challenge 1 - Anything Goes

It's me,

Challenge: Have a Ball This Christmas

This year, due to all the stress of moving to the new flat, I am foregoing putting up our Christmas Tree. It's quite sad that we won't have the tree up this year.  But it's the least of my worries with still a lot of boxes left unpacked after the house move over a month ago.

I remember the year when we had our first official Christmas tree.  We had it standing for 6 months! LOL! Hubby Cookie nicknamed it the "house tree" because we had it standing for half a year.  Well, life gets busy, and we just didn't get around packing it away.  And it's a plastic tree, so it won't really die on us... LOL!

Here is a photo of our tree from last Christmas. I did some handmade paper ornaments as well.

So, since if we're not putting up the tree this year, I am putting the Christmas baubles on my greeting cards to send out to family and friends.

Here is one of them using TGF's Holiday Blessing Clear Stamps. :)

It's only a few days to Christmas! Let's all have a festive and meaningful one! :)

365 Cards: Day 291 - Super Sketchy Sunday (Sketch by Wendi Robinson)

I am to a fun-filled Sunday to be spent with friends before we all go off on our Christmas holidays.

First up is to catch The Hobbit which just opened this week here in Singapore.  Then a little pampering at the salon with my girlfriends. And a Mongolian BBQ buffet dinner to finish the day off! Nice, right? These are my kind of weekends.

So, while I am off enjoying myself with friends, I leave you this 365 Cards Sunday Sketch to keep you occupied. LOL!

It's another one of DT Wendi Robinson's fab sketches.

And here is my take using TGF's Angel Anya. How do  you like it? :)  The Christmas papers are from last year's Echo Park Holly Jolly Christmas paper pack.

The rest of the Sunday Girls definitely has more inspiration to offer, so hop on along...

After that, pop over on to the blog to link up your own take to this week's sketch.

It's me,

Challenge: Holly Jolly Christmas Card

It's almost Christmas and I still have a few more Christmas cards to make. Good thing I stumbled into the Freshly Made Sketches and found this week's sketch to be very helpful in creating my cards.

Here is one I make in under 30 minutes with this week's sketch. Using my just received stamp order from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps called Merry Kiss-mass. :)

The holly paper is from last year's Graphic 45 Christmas collection (I think).

I need a few more of these and my Christmas card list is fulfilled. :)

365 Cards: Day 284 - Super Sketchy Sunday (Sketch by Wendi Robinson)

I had a fantastic week this week!  We had our Annual Charity Day at work where we all had to "dress up" for the occasion.  Hubby Cookie and I went as a Hippie Couple. Flower power, baby! :)

We were a hit! :)  Here is a photo of us, taken at the event. Cool much! :)

And having this week's sketch by DT Wendi -

I thought of showcasing a "couple" on my card this week as well... And here is my take -

Close up on my fab image from LOTV stamps! :)

Needing more inspiration? I am sure the rest of the Sunday Girls' got that covered, check out their blogs.

S4All: Decemeber Challenge with Eureka and QKR Stampede

Christmas is almost here!  In the Sketches4All community, we have some December Challenges for you and we hope you will play along with us!

The first of the challenges this December is one sponsored by Eureka Stamps and QKR Stampede.

They are too kind to sponsor the S4All DT with a digital stamp to play with.  And my choice is Santa's List.  He's too funny, I couldn't resist him!

22404 Lg. Santas List

And here is my card showcasing this digital image. I hope you like it.

The papers are from Echo Park's Holly Jolly Christmas paper pad.  All the dies on my card are cut with MFT dies.  The button is glittered, but it didn't come thru the camera, too bad.

A closer shot on the digi.  I coloured him with Copic markers.

I hope you can find time to check out all the projects from the DT on the S4All website.  And then we'd love you to submit any  Christmas-themed projects you have for a chance at some Eureka/QKR Stamps goodies.

For my card, I used this week's The Sweetest Thing sketch SSS173.

And for the whole week, we will be showcasing Robyn's Fetish digital stamps.  A lucky player this week gets to take how a nice digital stamps package from this sponsor.

I chose the Christmas Cookie digi to play with this week.

Here is my card. Yes, I am just so in love with the gingerbread man this season, so I am showcasing him again, too. With an additional little button in my twine bow. :)

Drop by the rest of the Sunday Girl's blogs to see what they have in store for you this week.   Then head on over to the blog to link up your own take on the sketch. We'd love to see what you create!
