Singapore Adventure: My Famous Barbecue Marinade

Finely chopped garlic, calamansi (which they call small lime here in Singapore), soy sauce, banana ketchup, sugar (brown sugar is better to give it a more smoke-y flavour, but white sugar will also do), salt and pepper to taste. If you want more heat, add some minced siling labuyo. And tada... Instant barbecue marinade.
I just finished preparing one bottle of this marinade which I will take with me tonight to a friend's apartment. I will make them chicken lollies, this time barbecue style. Hehehe...
