Challenge Entry: Flower-y Birthday (Plus a How-To)

A new birthday card from me using a new technique I (accidentally) discovered! :)

Close up on the details.

Pretty flower, right? Here's how I did it...

1. Cut a 1" strip of DP.
2. With your edger punch, and punch on one side of your DP strip.  Here I used EK Success' Abstract Flower edge punch.

3.  Do the same on the other side, but make sure you try your best to align the puncher to the pattern on the already punched out side.

4. Cut up the individual flowers or use them as a strip to embellish your project.

Easy peasy, instant embellie! :)

I am submitting this card to the following challenges for this week.
1. Lollipop Crafts - Challenge #54 Embellish It!

It's all about the embellishments and we would like to see AT LEAST 3 EMBELLISHMENTS on your projects this week.

My embellishment selections for this card include - Ribbon, Rhinestone, Punches (butterfly, flowers), Stamp (sentiment)

2. Paper Sundaes - Challenge #92 Sundae Bar

This week we've opened the Sundae Bar!  Our toppings include 'Black, Sparkle, Flowers, and Distressing'.  Remember to play along you only have to use two of the toppings!

I picked Sparkle and Flowers this time.
