Challenge Entry: Once Upon a Sketch - December 1 2011

Here's my take on the latest challenge at Once Upon A... Sketch.

The photos I showcased on my LO where taken last year during our family holiday dinner at the Spiral Restaurant of Hotel Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila.  And working on this LO made me a bit emotional.  I really miss my family.  Especially this year that we're not coming home to Manila for the holidays.

Here goes my LO project I titled Celebrate Family.

Close up on the title.

The journalling reads.

"Christmas is the best time to reconnect with the family.  And so this is what I look forward to during this season.  It's just sad that we won't be coming home this year to celebrate the holidays with our loved ones.  But I am sure we will be missed."

Layout Recipe:
Base and DPs: TPC Studios (Timeless Christmas Wreaths, Timeless Christmas Poinsettia, Timeless Christmas Stripes)
Die Cut Design Paper: Upikit
Chipboard Letters: American Crafts Thickers - Tinsel
Ribbon: Print Ribbon
Rhinestones: Queen & Co.
Glitter Glue: Ice Stickles - Silver Ice
Buttons: Jesse James Beads
Stamp: Inkadinkado - Folk Holiday Tag Expressions
Punches: Martha Stewart
Dies: Cut with Cricut Expression Accent Essentials cartridge

Here's the original sketch.

Your layout is so wonderful, Jenny! No need to feel lonely this Christmas. Just keep in mind that your loved ones thinks of you and your family most of the time. And you have lots of friends here in Manila, there in SG and in the blogosphere.

Thanks for joining us at Kaboodle Doodles’ Let’s Get Together for the Holidays Challenge!
